I am expanding the IV Nutrition brand to the Phoenix area
Yes, my family & I have owned & operated a successful chain of natural food stores in the midwest for 25 years called GreenAcres Markets. I was raised in alternative health & wellness as a way of life and as a business. Working with people to help them make more proactive health decisions is a passion of mine. Our stores have a strong emphasis on supplements & preventitive medicine options. It's a lot about education & helping people understand they have options. I have had IV Nutrient therapy since I was very young and have always wanted to be involved in an opportunity to expose this form of alternative therapy to more people I often use it first before anything else to keep my immune system strong & healthy. We are about helping people rebuild their reserves to be healthier & have more energy.
I recently moved to Phoenix & see an opportunity to bring this concept to the area. There are some other players currently, but I am impressed with the professional approach & appearance of IV Nutrition & the franchise's focus on excellence regarding sourcing, education, training & execution. I have a passion for alternative therapies & this is an extension of what we do with our stores. it takes it to the next level. I am still very involved as President & CFO of GreenAcres, but opening an IV Nutrition franchise in Phoenix gives me a chance to integrate with my new community as well.
We plan to open in early summer!
It is exciting to be involved in the early stages of the franchise expansion. They have done a lot of homework to put the concept together & develop the treatments & design of the facility. It makes execution of building & opening my Phoenix location much smoother.
Yes, we have been doing Chiropractic for over 20 yrs. and Functional Medicine for about 5 yrs, including IV's for about 3 yrs.
Tony- business owner, Chiropractor. Linda- owned a dance studio, marketing for other companies.
We saw the benefits of doing IV's and IM's in our Chiropractic office and are passionate about reaching more clients so they too can improve their overall health.
We have been open almost two months. We have about 18 staff members, 3 part-time Clinic Directors (Dr. Hicks included(, 3 front desk employees ( one full- time, the other two part-time), and 12 IV Techs. We have one location in South Tulsa. Our business goals are to max out at this location, and open two more locations in the Tulsa/surrounding area. We are anxious to get our mobile service up and going, and do a lot of special events, like golf tournaments, health fairs, bachelor/bachelorette parties... We opened IV Nutrition with the expectation that the business will help support our future retirement goals. We plan to be fully staffed, with Dr. Hicks & Linda working there occasionally.
We have been very impressed with our support and training from the Franchise team. From our first weekend training before we opened, which we felt was very organized and detailed, to the set up weekend, where the team came down, set everything up, very calmly, knew just what they were doing, to training our staff the first week of our opening. Since we have been "on our own", the staff has always responded to calls, texts and emails when we needed them and in a timely manner. They have gone above and beyond to assure our success and have our backs. They were also there when we had our Grand Opening & that was great to have too. We feel very fortunate & confident to have a business relationship with IV Nutrition Now and are excited for the future with them.
We are pretty new, but I think some of the things we are most proud of are, the amount of repeat clients we have & the good things they have to say about our IV Clinic. We have a really strong team as of now, it took a little time & a few fails to get some of the ones that we now have, but we feel confident in them, especially since we are busy running our Chiropractic office too & are not there all the time. We had a super successful Grand Opening, lots of people showed up, it was fun, super busy & we made the most money that day, so far! Social media (mainly FB) has gone really well, we have over 1K followers, and are now working on getting Instagram doing the same 🙂
The first bit of advice for future candidates would be to have enough staff in the beginning. That was a hard one for us to balance, because you don't want to have staff standing around getting paid when you don't have that many clients in the beginning,or the money to support that, but you have to have enough to support the whole week. Another thing is to not overwhelm your brand new staff with too much information in the beginning... I think we definitely scared a few people in that way- too much, too soon. Be sure you have a POS that is compatible for the business, that was our biggest source of frustration, but the Franchise is fixing that with a new system. We are very grateful for that. Lastly, enjoy the ride, the first couple of months are tough, but exciting at the same time. Know that this business is all about helping people live a happy, healthier life and that is very rewarding. Stay calm and let your clients enjoy their time of healing at IV Nutrition.
